Regular Season Round 3: Rosa Radom - Energa Czarni 84-94

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Energa Czarni and bottom-ranked Rosa Radom had identical 0-2 record. But Rosa Radom was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Slupsk 94-84 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-84. Rosa Radom was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Levi Knutson (193-88, college: Colorado, agency: FCM) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Lithuanian Valdas Dabkus (204-84) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard J.J. Montgomery (196-82, college: Arkansas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian swingman Slavisa Bogavac (200-80, agency: BeoExcell) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Rosa Radom's coach Mariusz Karol let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Energa Czarni (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Anwil. It was Rosa Radom's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with three games lost. Energa Czarni will face higher ranked Polpharma (#7) in Starogard in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosa Radom will play on the road against Anwil in Wloclawek and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
