Very predictable result when seventh ranked Defensor (5-4) smashed at home 12th ranked Montevideo BC (3-6) 92-68 on Monday. The game without a history. Defensor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Montevideo BC's 44. They outrebounded Montevideo BC 46-18 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Walter Baxley (193-84, college: Mars Hill) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and Venezuelan center Jose Juan Bravo (202-86) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Defensor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Paul Crosby (203, college: Miss.Valley St.) with 22 points and forward Emiliano Baston (200-88) scored 18 points.
