Very predictable result when tenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (3-1) defeated at home 15th ranked Nantes (1-3) 81-66. SO Maritime Boulogne dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes' 36. SO Maritime Boulogne forced 20 Nantes turnovers. Quite impressive performance for center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (206-94) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Ken Horton (199-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) contributed with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five SO Maritime Boulogne players scored in double figures. American power forward James Mathis (200-84, college: Niagara, agency: Court Side) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Terrance Henry (208-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro One Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Nantes. Nantes' coach Guillaume Quintard tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SO Maritime Boulogne have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Evreux and Maurienne. Nantes at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne's next round opponent will be Saint-Quentin (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Nantes will play against Bordeaux and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
