Regular Season Round 4: Salon Vilpas - Namika Lahti 64-68

Namika Lahti can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Salon, where they defeated Salon Vilpas (1-3) 68-64 on Wednesday. Salon Vilpas was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 16-10 charge of Namika Lahti, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Salon Vilpas to just 7 points in first quarter. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Emmanuel Holloway (183-86, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and power forward Louis Johnson (206-86, college: W.Illinois, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who added 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Marquis Hall (183-87, college: Lehigh) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Namika Lahti left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Korihait and Salon Vilpas. Namika Lahti will meet at home higher ranked Forssan Koripojat (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Salon Vilpas will play against Loimaan Korikonkarit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
