Regular Season Round 6: BC Asker - Oslo Tigers 77-37

BC Asker has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Oslo Tigers (1-5) 77-37 on Wednesday. The game without a history. BC Asker led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oslo Tigers to just 4 points in second quarter. BC Asker dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Oslo Tigers' 30. BC Asker forced 26 Oslo Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Kristine Nyegaarden (176-95) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Elin Gulbrandsen (173-94) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four BC Asker players scored in double figures. BC Asker's coach Ola Gravem Knutsen felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Eeva-Maria Mannikkoe (-83) who recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds and forward Claire Brown (-87) added 4 points and 7 rebounds respectively. BC Asker left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Oslo Tigers. BC Asker will meet league's second-placed Ullern in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Oslo Tigers will play against Ulriken (#4) in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
