Another exciting game was played in Grodno between leader Olimpia GrGAU and bottom-ranked Victoria-UOR where Olimpia GrGAU (1-0) crushed Victoria-UOR (0-1) on the road with 56-point difference 102-46. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria-UOR's 38 and made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game, while Victoria-UOR only scored five points from the stripe. Olimpia GrGAU forced 24 Victoria-UOR turnovers and outrebounded them 55-28 including a 27-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international Maryia Filonchyk (187-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Julia Vorozhko (185-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Forward Hanna Tsarevich (178-95) answered with 11 points and point guard Alena Holubeva (176-94) added 10 points in the effort for Victoria-UOR. Victoria-UOR's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Olimpia GrGAU keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Berezina and Gorizont. Victoria-UOR at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Sozh Gomel and BrGU. Olimpia GrGAU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria-UOR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Grodno to the arena Olimpia GrGAU.
