Regular Season Round 8: Asker Aliens - Centrum 66-106
Date: October 17, 2012
Leader Centrum delivered the seventh victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Asker Aliens (1-6) 106-66. The game without a history. Centrum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 67.2 percent from the field. The winners were led by guard Thomas Ble (185-89) who scored that evening 26 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Christian Hinsch (186-88, agency: Court Side) supported him with 14 points. Ble is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Centrum players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) did not help to save the game for Asker Aliens. Swedish forward Elias Westerlund (197-88) added 19 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Centrum have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Asker Aliens lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with six games lost. Centrum's next round opponent will be Gimle BBK (#3) in Bergen, which may be the game of the day. Asker Aliens will play at home against the league's second-placed Tromso (#2).
