Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Gansos (1-13) lost at home to fourth ranked Soles (10-4) 107-102. Gansos were ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 29-14 charge of Soles, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 40. Strangely Gansos outrebounded Soles 38-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Gansos were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington, agency: SportsTalent) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) responded with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Royce Gaye (193-88, college: Tex.A&M-Kingsv.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Four Soles and five Gansos players scored in double figures. Gansos' coach Luis Andres Garcia tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Soles have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-4 record. Gansos lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Gigantes. Soles will play against Guerreros (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gansos will play against Pioneros in Cancun to get more than just one victory in their record.
