Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Panteras (8-6) and Correcaminos (7-7), which took place in Ciudad Victoria. Higher ranked Panteras lost to tenth ranked Correcaminos in a road game 84-91. It looked good early as Panteras took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Correcaminos took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 7 points. American point guard Myron Allen (182-79, college: Lee JC) scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. American guard Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83, agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Panteras' coach Juan Cardona rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Correcaminos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Barreteros. Panteras at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Abejas. Correcaminos will play against Barreteros (#9) in Zacatecas in the next round. Panteras will play on the road against Huracanes in Tampico and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
