Regular Season Round 5: Namika Lahti - FoKoPo 94-67

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Forssan Koripojat (2-3) was smashed on the road by ninth ranked Namika Lahti (2-3) 94-67. Namika Lahti dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Forssan Koripojat's 26. Namika Lahti forced 19 Forssan Koripojat turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Hasquet (206-85, college: Montana, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Emmanuel Holloway (183-86, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists. Five Namika Lahti players scored in double figures. American forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and forward Markus Molenius (203-92) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Namika Lahti moved-up to seventh place, which they share with FoKoPo and Kataja. Namika Lahti's next round opponent will be higher ranked LrNMKY (#5) in Lappeenranta and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
