Regular Season Round 11: GECR Indalo - 9 de Julio 87-66

Date: October 19, 2012
Not a big story in a game in Comodoro R. where 8th ranked 9 de Julio (2-9) was rolled over by sixth ranked GECR Indalo (4-7) 87-66. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Edge Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Mariano Byro (195-82) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four GECR Indalo players scored in double figures. American forward Edward Nelson (203-82, college: Connecticut, agency: Dream Team Management) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Italian forward Mariano Garcia (201-86) added 16 points in the effort for 9 de Julio. 9 de Julio's coach Sebastian Gonzalez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory GECR Indalo went down to seventh position (South) due to points difference. 9 de Julio at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. GECR Indalo's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Argentino in Junin and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. 9 de Julio will play on the road against Lanus (#3) in Buenos Aires.
