Regular Season Round 3: Ourense - Clavijo 66-74

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Ourense (0-3) was defeated at home by seventh ranked CB Clavijo (2-1) 74-66 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 45-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. CB Clavijo forced 21 Ourense turnovers. Ourense was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) who scored 16 points. point guard Enrique Suarez (185-83) chipped in 14 points. Four CB Clavijo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian power forward Mateo Kedzo (206-84) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St.) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Clavijo moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Ourense still closes the standings with three games lost. CB Clavijo will face league's second-placed Leyma Basquet in Coruna in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
