The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Tsmoki-Minsk II (1-1) in Vitebsk on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Rubon (1-1) 75-70. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Rubon forced 27 Tsmoki-Minsk II turnovers. Russian guard Anton Indrikov (193-87) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Dmitri Akulich (190-86) chipped in 11 points and 4 steals during the contest. Akulich is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) responded with 22 points and forward Aliaksandr Semianiuk (207-93) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Rubon left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Tsmoki-Minsk II. Rubon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tsmoki-Minsk II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Impuls BGUIR.
