There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Le Portel (3-2) won against at home higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (3-2) 77-66 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Le Portel. Aix-Maurienne was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard Ronnie Taylor (188-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field).
