Regular Season Round 4: DCU Saints - UCD Marian 62-53

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Dublin: DCU Saints (#3) and UCD Marian (#4). DCU Saints (3-1) won against visiting UCD Marian (2-2) 62-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UCD Marian. Latvian center Martins Provizors (202-87) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Forward Patrick Glover (193-77) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. American forward John Galvin (203-88, college: Fair Dickinson) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and forward Matthew Kelly (180-87) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. DCU Saints have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with UL Eagles. UCD Marian at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. DCU Saints' next round opponent will be league's leader UCC Demons in Cork and it will be for sure the game of the week. UCD Marian will play at home against UL Eagles in Limerick and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
