Regular Season Round 4: Shiga L-Stars - Osaka Evessa 76-64

Date: October 20, 2012
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Osaka Evessa (0-3) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Shiga L-Stars (2-1) 76-64 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Osaka Evessa 35-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: Top Notch Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Top Notch Sports) who added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Nathan Walkup (200-88, college: Texas A&M, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Shun Watanuki (178-87) scored 23 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shiga L-Stars maintains fifth position with 2-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Osaka Evessa still closes the standings with three games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face again Osaka Evessa (#9) at home in the next round.
