Regular Season Round 4: Shinshu BW - Saitama Bron. 82-94

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Shinshu BW (2-1) in Nagano on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Saitama Broncos (1-2) 94-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. The game was mostly controlled by Saitama Broncos. Shinshu BW managed to win third quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Saitama Broncos made 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Randall Orr (207-82, college: Georgia Perimeter) who added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Saitama Broncos and five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Chiba Jets and Miyazaki SS. Shinshu BW at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shinshu BW will play again at home against Saitama Broncos (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
