There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Niigata Albirex (0-3) was edged at home by seventh ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (2-1) 71-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 37-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jonathan Jones (211-79, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and guard Cohey Aoki (167-80) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont, agency: Top Notch Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 20 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Niigata Albirex's coach Matt Garrison let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tokyo Cinq R. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams.
