Regular Season Round 3: Groningen - Rotterdam 73-68

Date: October 20, 2012
Very predictable result when leader Groningen (3-0) won against at home 7th ranked Rotterdam (1-3) 73-68 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rotterdam trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 20-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-73 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Rotterdam 44-25 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Groningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Rotterdam's players. It was a good game for American guard Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. International Jessey Voorn (193-90, agency: Court Side) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Anthony Miles (182-89, college: Lamar) answered with 21 points and the former international forward Daniel Jones (200-79) added 13 points in the effort for Rotterdam. Groningen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Den Bosch and Leiden. Loser Rotterdam dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Groningen will face M.Magixx (#4) in Nijmegen in the next round. Rotterdam will play at home against Leiden (#3).
