Regular Season Round 4: Anwil - Rosa Radom 63-65
Date: October 20, 2012
Rosa Radom's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Wloclawek, where they edged Anwil (1-3) 65-63 on Saturday. Anwil was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The winners were led by the former international center Hubert Radke (208-80, college: Loyola, IL) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and American guard J.J. Montgomery (196-82, college: Arkansas St.) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Rosa Radom players scored in double figures. Even 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals by the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) did not help to save the game for Anwil. American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) added 7 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Anwil's coach Dainius Adomaitis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rosa Radom left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Anwil and Start Gdynia. It was Anwil's third loss in a row. Rosa Radom will meet at home higher ranked Siarka Jezioro (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Anwil will play against Energa Czarni in Slupsk.
