Regular Season Round 5: Jarfalla - Helsingborg 76-75

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Jarfalla (2-2) edged at home bottom-ranked Helsingborg (0-5) 76-75 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Helsingborg won fourth quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jarfalla forced 19 Helsingborg turnovers. Center Jean Alix (200-79) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jarfalla's coach Bjorn Hjalmarsson used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Kosovan forward Gazmend Sinani (203-91) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Filip Sjostrom (198-90) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Helsingborg. Five Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Jarfalla maintains eighth place in South with 2-2 record. Helsingborg lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Jarfalla will face league's leader IK Eos in Lund in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Helsingborg will play at home against Sanda Basket (#12) in Huskvarna and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
