The game in Findon was also quite interesting. 4th placed Cairns Taipans (2-2) played at the court of fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (2-1). Adelaide 36ers managed to secure a 4-point victory 85-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 24-18 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for international point guard Adam Gibson (188-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Luke Schenscher (216-82, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) helped adding 15 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany, agency: Pro One Sports) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and international swingman Clint Steindl (201-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers moved-up to third place, which they share with Breakers. Loser Cairns Taipans dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Adelaide 36ers will face league's leader Wollongong Hawks in Gwynneville in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cairns Taipans will play at home against Kings (#6) in Sydney and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
