Regular Season Round 4: Fukuoka Rizing - Hamamatsu P. 72-76

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (3-2) beat on the road bottom-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (0-3) 76-72 on Saturday. Fukuoka Rizing was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Fukuoka Rizing was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern, agency: Top Notch Sports) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Top Notch Sports) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Ryuji Kawai allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jun Nakanishi (180-82, college: Santa Monica CC) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Hamamatsu Phoenix moved-up to third place, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Loser Fukuoka Rizing still closes the standings with three games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Hamamatsu Phoenix (#4) in Mikawa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
