Regular Season Round 3: Cagliari V. - Biassono 56-63

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Biassono and bottom-ranked Virtus Cagliari had identical 0-2 record. But Virtus Cagliari was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Biassono 63-56 on Saturday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Biassono forced 28 Virtus Cagliari turnovers. Strangely Virtus Cagliari outrebounded Biassono 41-21 including a 28-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Biassono (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place in North, which they share with 4 other teams. It was Virtus Cagliari's third loss in a row. They still closes the standings with three games lost. Biassono will face league's leader San Martino in San Martino di L in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Virtus Cagliari will play on the road against Milano (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
