The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Olimpia GrGAU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Olimpia GrGAU smashed bottom-ranked Victoria-UOR in Grodno 103-35. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria-UOR's 28. Olimpia GrGAU forced 32 Victoria-UOR turnovers and outrebounded them 56-38 including a 25-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Victoria-UOR's players. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian-Russian guard Tatiana Shapochkina (179-85) who scored 25 points. Russian-Ukrainian center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Five Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Forward Ksenija Voishal (182-94) produced 6 points and 7 rebounds and Valiantsina Myshapud (182-94) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Victoria-UOR's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Victoria-UOR at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Sozh Gomel. Victoria-UOR will play next round against strong Gorizont trying to get back on the winning streak. Olimpia GrGAU will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Tsmoki-Minsk at home.
