The game in Kariya was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Mitsubishi K. (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Denso Iris (4-3). Mitsubishi K. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 68-49. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Denso Iris. Denso Iris were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 39-19 second half run of Mitsubishi K.. Guard Yasuko Hashimoto (163-82) nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side and center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Arisa Fujiwara (175-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Denso Iris in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mitsubishi K.. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M. Denso Iris at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round. Denso Iris will play again on the road against Mitsubishi K. (#4) in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
