Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Weert (0-4) was smashed on the road by eighth ranked Zwolle (1-2) 104-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Zwolle. Weert was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Weert 44-22 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Weert was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Darryl Webb (198-88, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Pro One Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Zack Novak (193-90, college: Michigan, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Zwolle players scored in double figures. Coach Herman van den Belt's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Antwan Carter (198, college: Longwood, agency: Court Side) answered with 30 points and 8 rebounds and guard Bryquis Perine (190-88, college: Wisc.-Green Bay, agency: Court Side) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Weert. Zwolle left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Weert's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Zwolle will face higher ranked Leeuwarden (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Weert will play against Amsterdam (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
