Everything went according to plan in Nagano where fifth ranked Shinshu BW (3-1) beat 8th ranked Saitama Broncos (1-3) 82-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. Shinshu BW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds. Shinshu BW's coach Takatoshi Ishibashi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and forward Antwan Scott (205-79, college: Wake Forest) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Shinshu BW moved-up to third place, which they share with Oita H.Devils and Shiga L-Stars. Loser Saitama Broncos dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Shinshu BW will face Chiba Jets (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
