Regular Season Round 3: Singleton - Meteors 58-55

The most exciting game of round 3 in the Superleague took place in Cork. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Meteors (1-2) to sixth ranked Singleton (1-1) 58-55 in the game for the fourth place. It was a good game for Amy Waters who led her team to a victory with 9 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Danielle O'Leary contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Rebecca Nagle (173-92) answered with 12 points and 4 assists and Jade Daly (-91) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Meteors. Meteors' coach Hugh Kilbride rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Singleton left bottom position moving up to fourth place. Meteors at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Killester and Waterford W.. Singleton's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Cork Singleton.
