There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Trenkwalder RE (1-3) rolled over higher ranked Angelico Biella (1-3) in Reggio Emilia 85-56 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Trenkwalder RE. Angelico Biella was better in second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trenkwalder RE forced 22 Angelico Biella turnovers and had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman Michele Antonutti (202-86) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE's coach Massimiliano Menetti felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zimbabwean forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH) replied with 17 points and American forward Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) added 15 points in the effort for Angelico Biella. Trenkwalder RE left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Angelico Biella. Trenkwalder RE will face higher ranked Armani Milano (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
