Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Castelletto (2-3) was outscored on the road by third ranked Matera (4-1) 70-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. Matera led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Castelletto turnovers. Swingman Andrea Vitale (199-82, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Carlos Sebastian Vico (190-86, agency: Players Group) contributed with 16 points and 4 steals for the winners. Matera's coach Giovanni Benedetto allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86, agency: Interperformances) answered with 14 points and center Marco Pazzi (203-79) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Castelletto. Matera have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bari. Loser Castelletto dropped to the tenth position with three games lost.
