Regular Season Round 3: DCU Mercy - Waterford W. 75-67

Superleague top team - DCU Mercy (3-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Waterford Wildcats (1-2) in Dublin 75-67. Waterford Wildcats were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international guard Lindsay Peat (175-80) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Tessa Solan (177-92) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four DCU Mercy players scored in double figures. DCU Mercy's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international center Niamh Mullally (180-84) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Christine O'Gorman (178-90) scored 16 points. DCU Mercy have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with UL Aughinish. Waterford Wildcats at the other side keep the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Meteors and Killester. DCU Mercy will play against TM Hotel Cork (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Waterford Wildcats will play against the league's second-placed UL Aughinish in Limerick to get more than just one victory in their record.
