Rather expected game when 6th ranked Broni (1-2) was smashed at home by leader Umana Reyer (3-0) 68-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Umana Reyer led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Broni's 26. It was a good game for Romanian forward Simina Mandache (185-81) who led her team to a victory with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Center Gloria Vian (190-89) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Umana Reyer players scored in double figures. Forward Cecilia Zandalisini (-96) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Latvian center Liga Surkusa (194-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Broni. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Umana Reyer have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with San Martino. Broni at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Umana Reyer will face TEC-MAR Crema (#4) at home in the next round. Broni will play against San Salvatore (#11).
