There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Torino (3-2) rolled over at home 4th placed Agrigento (3-2) 92-71 on Sunday. The game without a history. Torino led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Agrigento turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Agrigento was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Filippo Baldi Rossi (207-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Torino players scored in double figures. Forward Fabio Mian (196-92) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88) added 12 points and 4 steals in the effort for Agrigento. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Torino moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Agrigento. Torino will face league's second-placed Bari on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
