Regular Season Round 5: Brahe Basket - Hoganas 81-79

Important game to mention about took place in Huskvarna. Fourth ranked Brahe Basket (4-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Hoganas (3-3) 81-79 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hoganas. It looked good early as Hoganas took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Brahe Basket had a 39-14 second period charge getting the lead and Hoganas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-81. Brahe Basket forced 30 Hoganas turnovers. Guard Arian Nasser (185-90) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Brahe Basket's coach Demetrius Poles allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Lithuanian forward Nerijus Strazdauskas (198-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian swingman Aurimas Baltrokonis (190-83) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brahe Basket moved-up to third place in South. Hoganas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Brahe Basket will play against Eskilstuna (#5) at home in the next round. Hoganas will play against Boras II and hope to get back on the winning track.
