There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Osos (2-14) were edged at home by sixteenth ranked Gigantes (2-14) 81-79 on Tuesday. Osos trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 27-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-81 at the end of the game. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Sam Liggins (178, college: Alders.-Broad.) fired 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward John Ruffus (207-81, college: Fayetteville St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds.
