Regular Season Round 2: Mornar Bar - Galil Gilboa 49-80

Guests from Galil (2-0) smashed host Mornar Bar (0-2) 80-49. The game was mostly controlled by Galil Gilboa. Mornar Bar was better in fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mornar Bar to just 2 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. Galil Gilboa had a 40-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mornar Bar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Dagan Yavzuri (193-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). American forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galil Gilboa will play against Kumanovo 2009 at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mornar Bar will play against Djuro Djakovic in Slavonski Brod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
