Very important is a road loss of third ranked Solna Vikings (4-2) against fifth ranked Uppsala Basket (4-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Solna Vikings were crushed by Uppsala Basket in Uppsala 93-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. The game was mostly controlled by Uppsala Basket. Solna Vikings was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Australian point guard Rhys Carter (190-84) notched 15 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and the former international Johan Jeansson (198-85) supported him with 18 points. Four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds by Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (205-87, college: Florida Tech) did not help to save the game for Solna Vikings. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) added 17 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Uppsala Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Solna and Sundsvall. Uppsala Basket will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#7) in Norrkoping in the next round. Solna Vikings will play at home against Eco Orebro (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
