The game in was also quite interesting. Top-ranked Honka (5-0) played at the court of 8th ranked HyPo (1-4). Honka defeated HyPo 75-62 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Honka. HyPo managed to win second period 15-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Honka forced 25 HyPo turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Jordan Greenleaf (185-87, college: Auburn, agency: Gamble Sports Management) supported her with 6 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds by forward Kathlyn Varno (185-88, college: Wofford) did not help to save the game for HyPo. Power forward Amber Land (188-85, college: E.Michigan) added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Honka have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Honka maintains second position with 5-0 record behind leader Catz. HyPo lost third consecutive game. HyPo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Kerava. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
