Round 7 in Basketligan means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Jamtland where host KFUM Jamtland (3-4) beat league's leader Boras Basket (5-2) 115-110 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 115-110. KFUM Jamtland made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for KFUM Jamtland especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Boras Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian forward Drazen Klaric (204-80) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Darryl Hudson (195-85, college: Howard) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) produced 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and Norwegian-American guard Terrence Oglesby (188-88, college: Clemson) added 31 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five KFUM Jamtland and four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. KFUM Jamtland moved-up to eighth place, which they share with LF Basket. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Solna and Sundsvall. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sodertalje. Boras Basket will play next round against LF Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. KFUM Jamtland will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Norrkoping Dolphins in Norrkoping.
