Regular Season Round 4: KFI - Keflavik 69-79

Keflavik has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked KFI (2-2)on the road game in Reykjavik 79-69 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. KFI managed to win second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keflavik had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Michael Craion (195, college: ORU) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Kevin Giltner (198-89, college: Wofford) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian guard Momcilo Latinovic (198-89, college: N.Mexico Highlands) produced 25 points and American guard JR Bradford Spencer (193-84, college: Jacksonville St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Keflavik (1-3) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Njardvik and IR. Newly promoted KFI dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with KR and Thor Thorl. Keflavik will meet at home higher ranked Fjolnir (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KFI will play against Snaefell in Stykkisholmur and hope to secure a win.
