Regular Season Round 4: ASVEL - Cholet 70-67

ProA round 4 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Cholet (2-2) against third ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (3-1) 70-67 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cholet. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-13. But Cholet won second period 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Mali forward Amara Sy (202-81) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Marcus Goree (201-77, college: W.Virginia) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Travon Bryant (206-83, college: Missouri) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cholet. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Cholet at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost.
