Regular Season Round 4: Tarvas - Valga 90-72

An interesting game for BC Rakvere (3-1) which hosted in Rakvere their biggest opponent Valga (3-2). Third ranked BC Rakvere had an easy win 90-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Valga. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. BC Rakvere led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (185-84) who scored that evening 25 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) supported him with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere's coach Andreas Sober allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by the former international swingman Veljo Vares (200-81) did not help to save the game for Valga. Latvian guard Edgars Cunda (195-84, agency: Court Side) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. BC Rakvere have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Valga at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. BC Rakvere will meet bottom-ranked Tln Kalev (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valga will play against Rapla (#7) and hope to secure a win.
