Regular Season Round 4: PAOK - Terpsithea 73-67

Date: October 27, 2012
Everything could happen in Thessaloniki at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked PAOK and 5th ranked Terpsithea had identical 2-1 record. This time PAOK used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 73-67 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-67. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Anna Stamolamprou (171-95) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Canadian forward Kayla Dykstra (188-87) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Brittany Johnson (180-89, college: Ohio St.) responded with 24 points (made all of her seven free throws) and international forward Anna Spyridopoulou (184-88) scored 5 points and 9 rebounds. Terpsithea's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. PAOK maintains fourth position with 3-1 record. Newly promoted Terpsithea keeps the fifth place with two games lost. PAOK will face league's leader AO Ellinikou in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Terpsithea will play against GAC Eunikos (#11) in Liosa.
