They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hokkaido L. to just 1 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. Mitsubishi Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L.'s 20 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Mitsubishi Dolphins forced 20 Hokkaido L. turnovers. Quite impressive performance for Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jun Uzawa (197-81) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Kenji Hiruki (197-85) replied with 9 points and naturalized American forward Jo Kurino-Dews (195-80, college: Mount Olive) added 2 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Hokkaido L.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitsubishi Dolphins maintains sixth position with 3-5 record. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Mitsubishi Dolphins will face league's second-placed Panasonic Trians in Osaka in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
