Another interesting game for Panasonic Trians (6-2) which played in Kanagawa against Toshiba Thunders (5-3). Second ranked Panasonic Trians had an easy win 89-76. Toshiba Thunders were ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 58-37 second half run of Panasonic Trians. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Hiroki Watanabe (180-88) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists and international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Senegalese swingman Mamadou Diouf (197-77, college: Delaware) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panasonic Trians maintains second position with 6-2 record behind leader Toyota Alvark. Toshiba Thunders lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Aishin SH. Panasonic Trians will play against Mitsubishi Dolphins (#6) in Nagoya in the next round. Toshiba Thunders will play on the road against the league's leader Toyota Alvark in Fuchu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
