Regular Season Round 2: TSU Tbilisi - STU Tbilisi 65-59

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tbilisi: TSU (#9) and STU (#8). TSU (1-1) won against visiting STU (0-2) 65-59. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 65-59. Point guard Givi Bakradze (185-91) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serzhi Aselaini chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Forward Tato Chachibaia (201-90) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Giorgi Pirvelashvili (201-88) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. STU's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. TSU left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Kutaisi. Loser STU still closes the standings with two games lost. TSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena MIA.
