Regular Season Round 6: AZS Radex - UMKS Kielce 82-74

There was a minor upset in Szczecin where higher ranked UMKS Kielce (2-4) was defeated by fifteenth ranked AZS Radex (2-4) 82-74. It looked good early as UMKS Kielce took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then AZS Radex had a 24-15 second period charge getting the lead and UMKS Kielce was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-82. AZS Radex forced 20 UMKS Kielce turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by UMKS Kielce helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Maciej Majcherek (190-82) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 4 assists. point guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82, agency: Promotex) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Damian Tokarski (192-88) added 13 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for UMKS Kielce. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AZS Radex moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Spojnia and UMKS Kielce. AZS Radex's next round opponent will be higher ranked AZS Kutno (#5) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
