Regular Season Round 5: Inter Bratislava - Prievidza 62-75

Undefeated Inter Bratislava (4-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Prievidza (1-3) 75-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Inter Bratislava. Inter Bratislava was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Prievidza forced 24 Inter Bratislava turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Barkley Falkner (203-86, college: Sam Houston St.) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Joseph Harris (196-87, college: Co.Carolina) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) produced 14 points and Montenegrin guard Goran Bulatovic (184-88) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Defending champion left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Inter Bratislava at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Prievidza are looking forward to face higher ranked Handlova (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Inter Bratislava will have a break next round.
