Very important is a road loss of second ranked CB Guadalajara (2-1) against seventh ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (2-1) on Saturday night. Visiting CB Guadalajara was defeated by Fontedoso Carrefour in Avila 63-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CB Guadalajara. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Fontedoso Carrefour's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-9 extending their advantage to 16 points. Fontedoso Carrefour outrebounded CB Guadalajara 38-27 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Riley Luettgerodt (196-85, college: Hawaii, agency: I.D.S. Law) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Pape Amadou (205-93, agency: Duran International) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Luettgerodt is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Victor Arteaga (212-92) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and center Jose Balmon (204-81) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for CB Guadalajara in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated CB Guadalajara. Fontedoso Carrefour will meet Cafes Aitona (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CB Guadalajara will have a break next round.
